Hip Score: 6/6, Latest Clear Eye Test: 6/8/2012 , DNA tests:- prcd-PRA Clear. Main show Achievements: Challenge Certificate and Best of Breed. Best Puppy in Show Hound Association Championship show Bragi was the first of my Elkhounds. He came from Margaret and Ted Harper's Ravenstone Kennel and sadly his litter was the last they bred. His Sire was a Norwegian Import Vaesjan's Martell who was brought to the UK by Gill Bingham, Maureen Lake and Margaret Harper. His Dam was Ravestone Countess Freya. I was overjoyed when he made the journey North with us. Bragi's show career got off to a fantastic start he was Norwegian Elkhound Puppy of the year 2007, winning his first CC under breed specialist Herr Rolf Frostad, at the age of 10 months, at the Hound Association Championship Show he went onto Win BPIS under Zena Thorne Andrews at the same show. Unfortunately Bragi wasn't shown as much as I would have liked due to family commitments. Bragi sired a number of litters with his progeny doing well in the show ring. His first litter was the Huistenbosch Litter in Inverness, his son from this litter Huistenbosch Axel at Breckslake has won a CC, and has become a successfull sire too. Branika Annar (Kelby), from the first Branika litter out of Barbelka Motyl, has also won a CC, adn sired a promisign litter in 2015. Two of his grandchildren from Branika Asdis' litters have titles overseas. |
